Down the road from us were two famous walking paths. D’Arcy Dalton Way with its poplar Trees running north and south, it intercepts the Ridgeway. The Ridgeway has been used since prehistoric times by travellers, herdsmen and soldiers, walking through ancient landscapes. It is known as the oldest pathway in England. We were just five miles from one of the most famous parts of the Ridgeway, the Uffington White Horse – a prehistoric white chalk horse drawn into the hillside above Dragon Hill. This spot was also used for the Kate Bush music video, Cloudbusting with Donald Sutherland!
