One of the first trips we took while living in England was to Wales. Wales offers so much and such a diversity of natural environments. We went to the beaches of Pembroke but we fell in love with the mountains of Snowdonia National Park. We stayed in an old shale miner's cottage in the hamlet of Cwm Penmschno close to the town of Betws-y-Coed. There we hiked to see Swallow Falls.
